Brockton Boxers "City of Champions" Graphite Drawing

This original 18x24" graphite drawing celebrates the identity, pride, and history of Brockton, Massachusetts—the “City of Champions.” The composition brings together the boxer dog associated with Brockton High School, the city’s official imagery, and an outline of Massachusetts marking Brockton’s location. I used detailed graphite shading to give the boxer a strong, realistic presence while integrating the surrounding symbols into a unified design. The finished piece represents school spirit, civic pride, and the community’s championship tradition. It was created for Brockton residents, alumni, local families, and anyone who maintains a meaningful connection to the city.  The city is located in Plymouth County and has a population of 105,788 (2024).

The original drawing was made using Staedtler Mars Lumograph Professional Series pencils on 18x24" Strathmore 400 Professional Series (acid-free, heavyweight) paper by artist Merwin Tabliago.
